If you are in Bratislava from June 30 untile the second of July, you can attend one of the largest European hip-hop festivals. Hip Hop Žije celebrates its fifth edition this year and will take place at Zlaté Piesky (the Golden Sands). Hip Hop Žije festival map Hip Hop Žije is the biggest and most important hip-hop event in Slovakia. It takes place across several stages as featured on the festival map featuring prestigious Slovakian performers, as well as international talent. The festival kicks off the summer season with lively beats and a rich program that includes streetball, a break dance exhibition and competition, beatbox battles, and many other surprises. The organizers have also managed to announce the name of the foreign headliner, which is Fat Joe. Another highly anticipated appearance will be made by Riff Raff. Hip Hop Žije is designed to appeal to a public of all ages, however, minors cannot attend without a legal guardian. Visitors should carry identity documents. Visitors who plan to camp on the grounds of the festival should be aware that the area can only support about 250 tents. The festival also provides 150 safe boxes for rent if you plan to bring along any valuables that need safe keeping. The parking lot is located next to the main entrance to the festival and has a capacity of 300 vehicles. Visitors are advised not to bring alcohol or other beverages to the festival as there are stands where these can be purchased on site.
